Dear Speed Seduction® Student,

Today, I am pretty tired.

I’m not only tired but I look pretty unkempt: haven’t shaved, combed my hair, and am wearing sweats and sandals.

You know what that means, dontcha?

Perfect time to pick up women!

So, I’m in the Walgreen’s, and I had an opportunity to demonstrate to myself a great pick-up principle that I regularly teach.

What is that principle?

Simply this: no matter what you say, at first, to meet a woman, you can still use it to get her open and willing to talk to you and meet you, even if what you say comes off as cheesy, stupid and dumb.

Case in point: at the Walgreen’s, I’m in line, and this lovely lady who looked like a ballet dancer or yoga teacher gets in line next to me. I say to her, “Do you do yoga?”

She very neutrally says, “no”.

“Dance?” I ask.

“No”, she says.

I look at her and say, “Ok, I’m returning that “How To Pick Up Girls in Line At Walgreen’s” book because it isn’t working.”

She laughs at that point, so I say, “Now, I’m glad you laughed because I wanted to check out your sense of humor before I introduced myself. I’m Ross”.

She says, “I have a boyfriend.”

My reply?

“No offense, but just because I’m talking to a girl doesn’t necessarily mean I want to date her, but I admire your confidence.”

She laughs again, “Seriously” she says. “I really am in love with him but you are the most confident and original guy I’ve met in a long time. I really hope you find someone amazing to match you.”

How do you like that? SHE was Speed Seducing me!

Now, I did not get a number or another meeting with this girl, but that isn’t my point.

The point is, what I originally used to try to meet her FELL FLAT AS A STONE.

That didn’t stop me.

I simply used it and used her responses to poke fun at myself, relieve the tension, and get her much more open to talking.

Also notice that when she said, “I have a boyfriend” I turned it around on her and played with HER assumption that I was ready to go out with her.

This is all an illustration of one of my key principles: whatever response she gives you is the right response, if you know what to do with it and can keep your state calm and steady.

Dear Speed Seduction® Students and Fans,

One of the most important components of Seduction is the “vibe” you put out there – meaning, how women perceive who you are and what you give to the world when you approach them.

There will always be women who are simply unable or unwilling, for reasons that are not yours to figure out, to accept the gifts you offer.

I’m frequently asked: what is the right way to handle women behaving toward you in a very rude manner?

For example, blatantly insulting you while you both wait in line at a pizza shop for no reason? Or being rude to you as if she’s testing you, or as if she has more of a right to exist than you do?

First, realize that anyone who gets rude or angry at your genuine, decent behaviour has a problem. It is about THEM, not YOU.

Here are three ways you can powerfully handle the situation and turn it to your advantage:

1. Use humour. Shake your head, and say, “Wow..I hope you get over the guy who really f@@ked you up…do you spell that “Daddy” or “Papa”?
2. Just hold compassion for them as a person in pain and say nothing, or say, “Wow. I’m sorry I interrupted you while you were being miserable.” (Credit to Stephane Hemon of ideaGasms for that one!)
3. Challenge them to something better, say,“Wow..what a rude, cold way to PRETEND to act”. Emphasize the PRETEND.

A couple months ago, I was at Whole Foods and approached a woman with one of my tried-and-true pick-up lines – one that has worked for me hundreds of times.

Her response (with dirty look and loud disgusted sigh): “What the F@@k do YOU want?”

Me: “You know, I know what your boyfriend looks like.”

Her: “Really now? What DOES my boyfriend look like, since you know it ALL?”

Me: “I see his face in the mirror every morning when I shave.”

Her (really angry and almost shouting, not getting it): “Are you in my bathroom, m^#$*rf@@ker? What the…. F@@K?!?!?!?”

Me: (points to her, laughs hysterically, and then in mock drawl) “Well then…. looks like…. ‘Exit, Stage Left!’ for me!” (walks away, not concerned that she might be giving me the finger behind my back)

Again: when you don’t take crappy behaviour from women (and people in general, for that matter) personally, it doesn’t happen as much. But it still happens. When you approach women with integrity and good intentions… the spiteful behavior of a few meanies won’t trip your game.

Dear Speed Seduction® Students and Fans,

I’ve heard the objection many times. Some people say that the girl-getting patterns and phrases I teach smart guys to use when getting a woman irresistibly aroused are so obvious that chances are, the guy will get “busted” and “shot down.”

Like, the use of emphasis and nonverbal cues that I teach you to use while saying “it’s on” and “below me” for example. Today I was asked this question by a student:

Many of your methods are so “obvious” that chicks can tell what a guy is doing, so he “gets caught” and she has a negative reaction.

For example, your method of stacking realities with quotes of alluring sexual content — she KNOWS what I’m doing and why I’m saying it, so she doesn’t buy into it when I do the “weasel phrases” or position it as something “someone else” saw or read someplace. No, she blames me for being a pervert.

How can I calibrate the interaction so I know if I will get a negative reaction? Can I counter-object and “save the Sarge”?

I’ll let two of my students answer this one.

At my Speed Seduction® 3.0 Seminar in Los Angeles, we discussed this question and one of my students said something I couldn’t argue about.

When the woman noticed his innuendo and asked what he was up to, with a friendly smile he matter-of-factly told her, “Right! It’s called ‘flirting’ and it’s what a man does when he meets a woman he’s into.” (Note how even in his retort, he plants a suggestion.)

The woman who “caught him” shrugged and said with a little grin, “Oh ok…I was just asking.” By staying true to who he is and what he gives to the world, this student was able to resume the Sarge without skipping a beat.

During a conversation with a sexy woman about reality TV shows on getting women, another student mentioned my name as a leading pick-up artist. The woman said, “Oh, I know who Ross Jeffries is. Do you actually DO that stuff? Waaaaait a minnnute … you DO do that stuff! I can TELL!”

My student’s response: “As someone who knows what they want when they see it in front of them, doesn’t it make sense to get more of what you want? If I wanted a woman who is perfect for me and vice versa, wouldn’t I be doing both of us a favor by learning all there is to know about making you happy?”

She agreed and dropped the subject.

No, actually, she asked about Speed Seduction® again.

At 3:00 AM, with a dreamy grin on her face, after a steaming-hot two-hour makeout session with the guy, is when she asked.

Don’t let little objections get in your way. Counter them with truth and integrity and use my teaching to claim more of who you want in your life (and in your bed).
