In my one-on-one teaching with students, I often run into the many ways guys get tripped up by what they were incorrectly taught before. For example, guys are taught that after you meet her, you’re supposed to get her phone number, then wait two days to call her so you can invite her to meet you three days later for coffee, where you’ll chat for an hour and then….?

Let me be the one to clear this up: that’s complete, total, and utter bollocks.

But unfortunately, because these misconceptions are so prevalent, it can seriously trip up your game with women. Case in point:

I have this feeling of not having the energy to call women that give me their phone numbers after our initial meeting. It’s like, the feeling is that I like the excitement of the approach, the smile on their face when they finally surrender their phone numbers. But something is holding me back from calling them and getting them to surrender themselves to me.

It’s like the feeling of not knowing what’s on the other side of the room, or not knowing the outcome that I am really looking for. At the same time, it’s like rejecting myself by not moving forward to do something about it. Can someone explain how I can “break out” of this and take things to the next level?

Let me ask again. When you approach a woman, why is your end game to get her number? Why not go for the whole enchilada, then and there?

The goal of Speed Seduction® is getting her invested and involved in the erotic interaction with you, right from the start, in the first two minutes of conversation. Doing the approach in hopes of getting the phone number squanders the opportunity.

The desire she then feels for you should be an overwhelming signal to her that she must go for it with you, as quickly and as totally as she can, or risk missing out on an incredible chance to have her wildest and deepest desires and needs met – by you.

How much a smile indeed will be on her face when she surrenders herself to you…and THEN says “this was awesome, here’s my number, call me and let’s do this again next week.” I bet it will beat a poke in the eye!

Becoming a Speed Seduction® master, like so much else in life, takes practice. When it comes to approaching women, for example, no matter how much you enjoy the results from what I teach in my Gold Walk-Up DVD, the clearest path to mastery is always going to be keeping yourself in the game, approaching many women, and using the strategies to get women hot, bothered and ready.

However, you also have to keep an important point in mind: sometimes, the closer you get to the skills you need for massive success with smoking-hot women, the more frustration you might encounter, Because suddenly you are in the game, in situations you only dreamed of before.

Case in point: a student recently told me this story:

Ross,

I was in Starbucks. I saw a hot woman. I started observing her. I thought, “What can I know about this person that I can use?” She was reading a book. I had your notes in my hand. I had an opening with her saying, “I’m writing some stuff and need to know the female perspective on this.” Then I went with the Eros Stone Necklace pattern.

I did exactly what you teach, Ross, and it worked in less than an hour! I had her come to the beach with me. Things got hotter from there. I thought I had done everything right, so I went for the close. I told her, “We need to take some steps to enjoy this somewhere else or continue it in the future.” She said,

“Oh my god, this is too much! I can’t see you further.”

I thought I had her! I wonder what went wrong?

Now, as far as I can tell, this guy did everything right. Nothing went wrong at all with any of his skills or insights.

All that went “wrong” was that this woman somehow had some kind of problem with getting intimate.

Maybe she had a jealous boyfriend.

Maybe she’s super-religious and doesn’t feel right about sex.

Maybe she’s got something crawling in her cootchie that defies medical science’s attempt to stamp it out.

My simple advice to this guy (and you, if you find yourself in this kind of situation) is this: first and foremost, make a list of everything you did right.

Focus on that. Realize how far you’ve come with your skills. Imagine continuing to practice and getting great results in the future.

Remember: Total victory and success with women that you’ve always wanted could be one simple skill set away.

Dear Speed Seduction(R) Students,

In this video(which is #3 of 10 in my Youtube  Beyond Dating Tips Playlist) I discuss the nature of approach anxiety-what it really is-and how to destroy it so you can enjoy the ability to approach and pick-up(and seduce) hot women with ease.

I have a radically and fundamentally different view of approach anxiety; I don’t view it as being about fear of rejection or even fear of the approach

Rather I view it as neurological friction; the result of two equally powerful and conflicting desires arising in your neurology at the same time.

What are these?

The desire to move forward and talk to the woman(or women) and the equal and opposite desire to stay right where you are and not say a word until you are certain that what you are going to say and do will work.

Let me give you a metaphor to understand.

Suppose I gave you a radio-controlled toy car.  And you gave it the command to turn left and turn right at the exact same moment.

What would the car do?

I think you know the answer.

It would freeze up and spin its motor until it burned out or the battery ran out.

Is this beginning to make sense?

A huge breakthrough will occur when you now realize that approach anxiety isn’t really that at all. It’s internal conflict manifesting as neurological friction and cognitive confusion.

Now there is one more complicating factor and that is the meaning you give to the feelings of neurological upset.

If you conclude that the anxious, or rather FRICTION feelings means that you face some external threat-that you are about to be rejected, defeated or humiliated in the external world, then you are going to create secondary anxiety about that.

Now, in addition to the internal conflict, you get to add in a nice dose of fight or flight syndrome.
