I absolutely love teaching smart guys like you how to get the steaming hot women you really want without having to resort to what I call the “5 B’s” – bullying, begging, buying, B.S. or booze.

The other day on one of my twice monthly “Ask Me Anything” calls, a member of my coaching program brought up this situation and I asked him to follow it up by posting on the community forum Here is what he posted:

Ross,

I had an interesting situation come up when I was shopping for furniture. I saw a woman who had such a major league hot body, she could have easily been a stripper or a bikini model.

I went back to the home study courses you’ve talked about before and used the strategies, such as trying to get a sense of her energy.

But there was a sales clerk attached to her. She just kept pummeling him with questions. He’d flit away for five seconds and come right back.

They had an interaction that went on for so long that I felt like I was stalking her. I was wandering from aisle to aisle and killing what time I could, but eventually I felt like I was going to get busted or give her the creeps or something so I backed off.

What do you do? Is it ever doable to interrupt an interaction with an ongoing sales purchase? How can you break into that?

This is a situation that most guys find themselves in. They want to approach a hottie in her daily life but there’s some co-worker, sales clerk, or other business acquaintance who won’t get out of the way long enough.

Here’s something to think about. Although this chick is smokin’ hot, maybe you’re just not going to meet her today. You can hang around, and maybe the clerk will go away. Chances are, that sales clerk will be there until the time she pays for her furniture – then she’s out of there.

Meanwhile, look around you. Right now. Are there any other beautiful women in the store who are more approachable – who you could approach instead? Is there somewhere nearby (a lounge, a coffee shop) you could look? In my Gold Walk-Up DVD. I cover many types of approaches that you can use in many different situations.

I’m more convinced than ever that 90% of the success and satisfaction you can enjoy with women is influenced far more by what is between your ears than what is between her legs.

Now, don’t get me wrong here.

As you are about to learn here, I do NOT believe in “positive” thinking when it comes to women, money, or anything else.  In fact I think “positive thinking” is one of the most destructive illusions that has ever been peddled.

Here’s why.

Positive thinking usually just amounts to “shut your eyes, ignore that fact that you are failing or are miserable, and pretend things are going the way you want them to go”.   Just “believe” and you will achieve.

How “Positive” Advice Multiplied My Personal Suffering With Women

I can’t tell you how frustrated I used to get at all the “positive” advice I got from friends and relatives back when I was a 20 year old virgin, desperately trying to end my loneliness and get my freak on.

What kind of crap did I here?

“Just love yourself and then women will love you”.  Yeah, right.

“You’ll find someone”.  Well, eventually, maybe.  But who wants to wait? And who wants “someone”?

“Just be nice. Women love nice guys”. Don’t get me started.

The Real Problem With “Positive” Thinking

The problem with “positive” thinking is that it is oftentimes an invitation to ignore the reality of your situation, to turn a blind eye to what you need to learn, and to keep on repeating mistakes.  It’s tied together with another destructive “mind virus” that is part of our culture: “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

How About A Dose Of Informed Enthusiasm Instead?

What I would actually like you to do is junk positive thinking entirely and instead work on developing what I call informed enthusiasm and intelligent motivation.

Informed enthusiasm simply means that you’ve trained yourself to spot where you are doing well, across many different levels; some obvious and some not so obvious.  And, additionally, you’ve developed an incredibly effective way to remove confusion from situations that don’t’quite go your way and to see exactly what you need to do differently the next time.

Intelligent motivation comes from knowing that, while you may not get what you want right away, you certainly will learn what you need to get what you want, or better.    It’s a totally reality-based confidence in your ability to learn from each and every encounter and situation with women.

Did you know that there are three key secrets to visualizing and rehearsing success with women? Do this right, and you will leap-frog past your old limiting self-image and beliefs and pull out into the fast-lane of seduction success. This is a fantastic “self-programming” pattern of seduction mastery that can carry you quickly into unstoppable confidence and really boost any affirmations or other work you are already doing.

On last Monday’s Coaching Call, I answered a student’s question about this topic.  So as part of my ongoing “Spy On My Coaching Program” series, I thought I’d post the transcript of that part of the call right here on the blog.  Please feel free to comment right here, once you’ve read it over.

Mark: I sent an email to the SS list last night. You sent me a reply this morning asking me what I do pre-sarge in terms of finality and things like that. My question revolves around Manny the Martian. Now it’s time to do the walk-up, and I still hold back from doing it.

Ross: What do you do for your preparation period before you go out to sarge? How do you prepare your mind for success? How do you prepare your body and energetic field to be the way you would like them to be with women? Do you have a preparation ritual or period that you go through?

Mark: I do, but it’s not consistent. Therein lies a little bit of the problem. I’ve been doing the affirmations on and off. I tied it in with some brainwave training from the LA seminar.

Ross: That’s very good stuff.

Mark: Yes, I’ve done pretty well. I’m just trying to work out how to tie it in.

Ross: That’s not the same as doing a vivid preparation before you step out the door. Do a ritual where you step into the tonality and body posture. Step into saying what you would like to say, the way you would like to say it.  It’s also not the same as rehearsing success.

Let me give you a tip. I want you to rehearse success, very vividly. Stand up and move the way you would stand and move later.

Break down the rehearsal into three parts. The first part is what you do when you’re laying down or sitting in a chair with your eyes closed and listening to brainwaves. I’m all for that. I’m not saying that’s wrong. It’s good, but it’s not complete. I want you to keep doing it.

Separate and apart from that, when it’s time to go out sarging, I would like you to do something different to prepare.

I would like you to get into a nice state by doing some energized breathing.  I’m sure I did something on ritual for the group. From the actual posture you will be in, stand the way you would stand. Speak aloud what you would like to say. Look the way you would like to look.  Feel the way you would like to feel. Talk to yourself in the way you would like to talk to yourself in your head.

That little bit of rehearsal is the piece I think is missing. People always say, “See yourself in the way you would like to see yourself succeeding.” That’s all really good.  I’ve done a video on this before, but I’m going to talk to you about this. I want to encourage you to take on different perceptual positions.

Here’s what I mean by “different perceptual positions.” You’ll immediately understand this very clearly and have a good grasp on it. It will sound very sensible to you as soon as I give you a description.

I know you watch TV shows. On a TV show, when two characters are talking, you see it from one characters perspective. Then you see it from the other characters perspective. Then they do what is called a “two-shot.” A two-shot is when you see both characters talking to each other.
When you rehearse success, take on different perceptual  positions as you lie down or sit in a chair. Rehearse success, not only from your point of view, but from the other person’s point of view.

Imagine you can slide inside the girl and through her eyes see what she sees as she looks at you. In her head, she would say, “That guy is really cute!” Feel that flow of energy she has in her body when she says, “God he’s really cute. I want to talk to him.” Rehearse it from that perspective, and add something special to what you do.

Ok. RJ here again. Was that great advice, or what?

Let me summarize what I taught Mark:

1. Create a preparation ritual

2. There are two kinds of preparation rituals:

A. The first way you are only visualizing and you do this in a relaxed state, seated or lying down.

B. The second way involves moving, standing, and speaking outloud, with the tonality, tempo, pacing etc. that you’d actually speak if you were in the situation.

3. Visualize success from different perceptual positions.  Don’t just imagine success from a third party perspective. Imagine yourself succeeding through HER eyes.
