No matter what Mel does, nothing will ever detract from the cool that is Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and (to a far lesser extent) Beyond Thunderdome.

I feel his pain. I’ve been there, and every now and then get sucked back into going there. It’s hard work to always maintain the frame that you are always in control when so much goes on in this world to test you. You fail once, and there’s some woman there to “remind” you that you’re a constant failure.

This does not excuse the shit he said. It was horrible, vile and abusive. A chick asked me what he was on that caused all this. My response… PUSSY.

    Nice post.

This shows everyone the truth, also we must get out of that brainwashing media and see
who we really are and what we really want, instead of being programmed by it. it’s a hard
thing, because movies and things alike will divide society into categories like nerds, sociopaths,
    strange womans and gays.

We’re humans, nobody is perfect. This type of news is not happenning with mel gibson only,
but with another “stars” and “famous people” that i wont even mention it.

There are womans who wont care if you are rich, famous or whatever you think you should be,
i know and have meet personally. lets get out of this box. lets get a new life people. thats
    possible!

I like Mel Gibson as an actor, but I had no idea he was such a needy prick in his private life. Ross, thank you for showing a system that both teaches us to appreciate as well as attract women. Listening to this is painfully embarrassing as a member of the male species, but it serves as an example of how not to treat a lady. That was a pathetic and sad display of a man who has, either never learned, or has forgotten, how to control his own state.

follow me here for a moment. i agree that mel’s rant was totally over the top and wrong in a myriad of ways.

    BUT..

i also believe that oksana and him fight like this all the time. i believe she enables him. i believe that its possible that because she is so fucking hot that noone EVER talked to her like that before and when she met she first met him he immediately knocked her off her pedestal whereas other guys would try to buy her things and tell her how beautiful she was.

i believe he probably push-pulled in this relationship alot. he probably fought with her and told her what a stupid cunt she was and then he would pull her in by saying she is a truly amazing woman and he’s s glad he met her.

this push pull is very powerful on women as we PUA’s know.

i don believe he falls in the category of AFC. i believe an AFC has no clue how to attract women. mel plays the “complete asshole narcissistic dickhead” card. he can do that because he is an international megastar. he probably mixes it with being really sweet at times. this is push pull. it’s Dark side PUA shit. but it can work.

note: im not advocating violence towards women or threatening women. all im saying is that oksana is gorgeous and she’s not used to guys ever talking to her this way. therefore it actually turns her on on some level. thats a fact jack.

Wow! Her demeanor triggered his emotional escalation. The more he escalated the more detached she became. Classic female – male role reversal. That aside he exhibits enormous frustration and an “all or nothing” reaction that could be interpreted as a PTSD based response. Obviously he’s out of control but nothing happens in a vacuum and we don’t know what triggers him, or what events in his life he’s actually responding too in this situation – cause it’s obviously much more than his situation with her. She’s just the current “trigger”.

It’s sad that this most personal baggage is public. What we see is a guy who’s “made it” from a standpoint of our culture, yet continues to relive some emotional trauma from some other time in his life.

The more I think about it Ross, this is the worst example you could have used to make your point.
Mel’s over the top emotional response has so many more factors going on than some break-up scenario. You said it yourself – hear the pain, rage, fear and confusion – he’s reliving something else here – she just happens to be the “new actress on the new stage” playing out the same old emotional script.

But then again, maybe that’s what too many of us bring to the “next” relationship – the same old emotional script.

So disappointing to hear Mel fly off the handle like that. I believe that everything you (Ross) teaches should be mandatory as part of the educational system in the USA for men starting at the age of 10 years of age and continue through high school, so that we are prepared to associate with females, and never EVER have a Mel Gilbson AFC moment.

If Mel Gibson can loose it, we all can be in danger of going down that road. Perhaps not as extreme as Mel as he might have other problems (drinking???). But associating with women is something all of us straight men have to learn.

You said it right…it’s really about controlling one’s emotions. I noticed on the tape how calm and in control Oksana is. She sounds like a therapist. And Mel…poor Mel…he’s like a lunatic. He’s going through some pain, control, and just…he looses it.

Ross, if you can put his (drinking or whatever rage) on the shelf, I would like to hear your personal analysis of Mel’s mistakes based on your SS system. If that’s possible.

    Sincerely

    New Student and believer!

I didn’t think he was necessarily a bigot after I heard his earlier Jew-hater rant, because everyone has prejudices and can spew all sorts of garbage when they’re drunk, angry, and trying to be hurtful. But after listening to this one, I realize he’s just a mean, angry asshole in general. As part of their craft, actors often learn to “think” using their emotions instead of their reason–which is possibly why there is so many total nut jobs in the Hollywood scene. Not all, or even most, but many. What’s really stupid is how so many of the rest of us listen to what actors say about national (and other) issues like they’re godlike geniuses just because they’re famous.

It seems we want to be “right” and “Correct” and when reality doesn’t match what is expected we are disappointed. Then we project the blame onto the other party instead of taking responsibility for our actions. Taking responsibility for lack of “rightness” is what maturity and strength is all about as a man. Taken in the right way attracts women in droves.

What else is there to say except the fact that although he may be success in movie industry, he is looser in dealing with woman. I don’t know how old he is, but he looks like over 50 – thats a lot of time used NOT to learn anything about women…

It’s surprising (and telling) how quite a few movie/pop stars can’t keep it together when it comes to women. One notable example was Frank Sinatra who nearly ended his life in an elevator by slashing his wrists over his dysfunctional marraige to Ava Gardner. In later life he married Mia Farrow and the insecurity kicked in again. He tried to control her life and career at every given oppurtunity. Things came to a head when he started to sulk because she prefered to follow her own instincts by starring in Rosemary’s Baby rather than being an obedient little puppy and act in a shitty film alongside him. The big baby then proceeded to mail divorce papers to the set of the film. Other notable examples include Peter Sellars, Christian Slater, Eminem, Bobby brown, Chris Brown and Charlie Sheen. We’re spoon fed a lot of bullshit by the media and a lot of people still swallow it. An AFC with money and power is still an AFC .

It´s not a privilege of Mr. Gibson´s. All around the world we see examples, much worse actually, of men´s rage against women. By the way, maybe it would be interesting to hear more from you in a next post how do you manage these issues of complicated “real hate shun ships”. thnx Ross.

Looks like Mr. Mel Gibson feels like he’s being used by this female as an ATM. I mean, she’s young and beautiful and she knows it and Mr. Mel Gibson is an old man with lots of money and he knows it.
This female, to him, doesn’t seem to respect him as much as he wants and makes him feel like he’s being played. A man’s pride is getting pussy whipped here, poor guy. Mr. Mel worked so hard to get to where he is just to get pussy whipped to extreme frustrations by a person much younger than he is. I guess he’s just a conventional guy with certain decorums. Nothing wrong with that. But hearing this man crying is injustice/outrage. He provides everything and this woman just violates him deliberately with no respect for his age and experience as a man. WTF That is so Frustrating!
    AFC=Average FRUSTRATED Chump.

One thing that needs to be factored into this situation is Russian women and how different they are to western women. They also seem to like a bit of drama in their lives.

With the Russian women I have met it is quite ok and very normal for them to be with an older man, in fact, a lot of them actually prefer it. When I was 41 I was seeing a drop dead gorgeous 23 year old, 5’4″ blonde Russian goddess, on my scale she was 9.5/10 and in my opinion more attractive than Mel’s GF and incredible in bed as well. And I’m no oil painting, I’m a pretty average looking guy really.

I don’t think Mel’s too AFC. I think the thing with Mel is that he’s got some deep, deep problems in himself that he needs to work out. He doesn’t have any problems attracting women.
