I feel your pain Ross. I can only recommend you a Toyota, Lexus or Honda ATM… 150K miles on my Toyo van and the only thing I’ve had to change has been the oil and the front window (damn rocks on the highway).

Hope you can make it soon out of that hell… in the meantime, peace and piece!

Damn Ross. That freakin sucks. Vacaville is a total shithole. Btw, always love going back to read your older blog entries chock full of great info and stories! I know this comment post comes like an eternity later, but if you’re still seriously considering giving your Saab the ax, heres my two cents on a car. Maybe consider a 03-04 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (preferably a detective vehicle with the Street Appearance Package that wasn’t abused) I have one (an 04) and I love it! There are great deals out there (4000-6000 range). Rock solid body-on-frame construction, reliable, built like a tank, easy to maintain, and parts dirt cheap and plenty. They ride and handle great, comfortable interior, and are a rocket off the line with the 3.55:1 axle gear ratio. Decent gas mileage for a V8 too if you don’t have a lead foot. Peace and piece! – JC
