This manifests itself NOT in my going up and talking to women. I have gotten to the point where, most of the time, I do go up and talk to women I am quite attracted to (provided they don’t have another guy or parent in tow). I have gotten past that hurdle. But, up until now, my interaction tends to be tainted with that belief that she can’t find me attractive and it causes me to shy away from escalating the conversation with what could be suggestive or interpreted as suggestive. I play it way too safe and am upset with myself afterwards for playing it safe.

      Take.
      A.
      Bold.
      Step.
      Forward.

You have no business making the decision for her re: how attracted she feels. Your business is to provide the criteria that brings her to a place of deciding in your (as in, yours and hers) favor.

“When you don’t know what to do, you take a bold step forward.”

Is in my affirmations. Still has to sink in. 🙂

This is such a gentle approach to this issue. Will keep it in mind for the future. Have lost a friend or two over blatantly telling them to stop posting or saying hateful things about women because of their own insecurities. It’s sad how far away from the life they want these feelings can take someone… Thanks.

      One word: PROJECTION.

It’s generally true that when someone exerts extreme energy criticizing a person, or it seems like every single person they know is the same bad thing (i.e. everyone seems to be a liar, cheat, narcissist, etc) they usually should be looking in the mirror at themselves.
