A major theme that rears its ugly head in almost any discussion on seduction is the concern about looking “too eager” or approaching a woman with the vibe that how your day turns out depends on how she responds to you right now.

Act TOO eager and she’ll think you’re desperate and shoot you down. Act too aloof and she’ll think you hate her and she won’t go to bed with you, much less agree to meet you later in a more intimate setting. So it leaves you wondering…

… just where the h@ll is the “middle ground” here?

I just got a question from a student who poses this issue from a slightly different angle:

Hi Ross, I have a question. If I am talking to a girl, I will be trying to get rapport with her. It seems however, that when I’m trying to get rapport with a chick, that she will detect this and then push me away. What do you think I should do in order to obtain rapport without looking like I am “hungry for rapport” if you know what I mean? You know what I mean? Without looking like I’m “trying to get in with her?”

As Voltaire said, “If you are going to debate with me, first define your terms.”

So, what exactly do you mean by “rapport”…because I think your meaning is way off base.

I think YOU mean, “acceptance, welcoming, interest.” That you are trying to get her to show you all of these things. And that is NOT rapport at all, at least not a useful definition for Sarging.

There are plenty of useful definitions, but one I would aim at is,

“An unconscious sense of connection, trust, ease, a sense of being on a similar wavelength, a relaxed ease in each other’s presence.”

This is quite different from gaining acceptance or being welcomed into the person’s world. Just because she accepts your tubesteak into her wet, willing love canal doesn’t mean you’ve become a part of her existence.

Back in October, a student of mine got laid on the first “date” with a “super squirter chick.” He had a great time with her that night, but their next meeting (three days later) was a bust… in which he didn’t get to see… her bust.

Then, she “dried up” and flaked with a bull%$@t excuse the day before what was supposed to be their third meeting. When he used an anti-flake pattern to get her to speak her truth about the matter, she told him she enjoyed their night together but didn’t feel anything in common and saw no future with him.

When she told him this, he even agreed. During the times he was with her and they weren’t f@@king, it felt to him like he was working to make even basic conversation with her. She wasn’t the kind of woman who responded to who he is and what he gives to the world.

None of the elements of MY definition of “rapport” were in place for him with her. He chose to “exit, stage left” at this point and move on to women who were more receptive to his vibe.

In other words: despite all my student’s angst that whole week about whether she “accepted” him, it was a one-night stand. Period.

The irony is, if he had not worried so much about “building rapport” and becoming “part of her world” per se, and just focused on getting laid (since he had nothing else in common with her but the sex was awesome), he probably would have f@@ked her again… and again… and if that ran its course, possibly nailed one of her hottie friends next.

When deciding where any woman you meet fits in your world, first define your terms for approaching women and life.

A few days ago here on my blog, I tackled head-on one of the most common objections I hear about Speed Seduction®. That being, some people say that the girl-getting patterns and phrases I teach smart guys to use after approaching a woman are so obvious that she’ll see through it, conclude he’s “just trying to get a piece of a##“, and turn him down flat.

I explained how several students of mine handle a woman’s resistance when she “calls him out” so confidently and expertly that, knowing he is “working it” using Seduction techniques actually helps his cause and gets him action.

After posting that to my blog, several people e-mailed me with some strong reactions. I could list them all, but they all really boil down to one question …

… So It’s Really That Easy, Eh Ross?

Listen: Speed Seduction® is much more than a collection of “magic phrases” and techniques that guys can use to get laid.

A crucial component of my teaching helps men determine quickly which women are, for lack of a better word, Sargeable. It’s called Speed Seduction® not because it helps guys get laid quickly, but because it helps the smart man quickly discern whether a woman is interested in him.

He will proceed with his Sarge only when he determines she is likely to receive what he has to offer. He will also “exit, stage left” the instant he determines he doesn’t have much chance of success with her and move on to women who are more ready for him. My students are able to master the resistance put up by women who “call them out” because they gain a sure way to learn from every seduction situation. They develop a “stealth charisma” that is so subtly attractive, completely undetectable and utterly independent of any external validation from anyone, that it creates its own attraction force.

It’s not that these women knew they were being Sarged on and thought it was cute, per se. It’s the “vibe” my students put out that lets women know they are in the presence of a confident, strong man who is true to who he is and what he gives to the world.

Because my students have calibrated their “inner game” to support and foster their “outer game,” they are able to easily turn almost any situation, including being “called out” for Sarging, to their advantage. When this happens, my students experience success and pleasure with women they desire. The women also experience success and pleasure. The world is a happier place as a result. Sounds like a win-win-win to me!

When you go through life with an “inner game” optimized for girl-getting success, you still won’t get everything you want every single time. However, by maintaining and honing that mindset, you will get what you want a far greater percentage of the time.

And that, to me, sure beats a poke in the eye!

Hey Ross, the weirdest thing happened to me Thursday night! I had a date with a woman I had seen previously. I use the word “date” because I remembered what you said on the Coaching Call about the differences between women you have not slept with yet and those you have. Anyway, that date went okay, but the evening ended early. For various reasons she just wasn’t in the mood. She offered a raincheck, so we agreed on a specific date and time and I and went home. I was frustrated and disappointed.

I got home….and on a lark, I called a woman I had met a couple months ago, but nothing had happened. She answered, and said “come pick me up.” Having been “shut out” just an hour earlier … I was back on the field! So we came back to my place. One minute we’re talking, and the next thing you know we’re having an incredible make-out session in my bed that lasted till 4 am!

On the one hand I feel like a girl-getting God – one date didn’t work out so I met up with another woman. I was in my zone and not ready to be benched. On the other hand…..HOLY F@@@!!!!!!

Let me correct you. It’s not “the weirdest thing” – it’s part of who you are and what you do when you become a powerful Speed Seduction® Master. Good on you, brother!

Now…STOP. Your next step is to understand what happened with both of these women.

With the first, you got out of a situation that “wasn’t happening” and kept the door open for next time by confirming a specific next meeting. You’ve seen her more than once, so you’ve been paying attention to her patterns in her behavior and starting to see trends. As you continue to see her, pay attention to how she approaches you. In Speed Seduction® you use the material she gives you and apply my teachings so that both of you can enjoy pleasure and passion together. This experience will be great for you no matter what ultimately happens with her.

With the second, you say “one minute we’re talking, and the next thing you know…” Think back to what happened in that “one minute.” Whatever happened in that “one minute” is your takeaway that will serve you over and over again.
